Another long weekend and another giant leap forward with help from family, friends and a four year old. It's the details that take the longest, and that's what we tackled. We got the door shimmed, the grain house mouse proofed and the trim up. We also got the fridge logo finished, the kegs painted and the coasters (or as I recently learned, also known as "beer mats") made. Take a breath, because we also got the cooling water hooked up (we're using the spring-fed pond!), the fridge taps almost in, the hot water tank fired up to sparge-hot, the fridge's air conditioner shimmed and framed, the FRP panels up, the vent hole drilled for the kettle and we started some of the equipment shake out. Phew, busy weekend, and I think we had fun doing it? A huge thanks to Steve, Ruth, Craig, Robin, Mark, Hayley, and the best help of all - Ollie!
What's next? Beer, we think!
