Nothing is better than a good beer. And, when thinking about what to call our tiny brewery, we thought about the lazy cozy winter beers in front of the fire and those lazy refreshing summer ones sitting in the Adirondacks (chairs, not mountains). That is exactly what we want to make easy, lazy beers.
We drive over Bear River almost everyday, and watch for Bear Island, these marvels are sometimes overshadowed by the Digby Gut, and we like that. The two big bears comfortable with a back seat - relaxing and having a beer.
So, we have a name Lazy Bear Brewing. But, we needed a logo, and being of the global google generation, we found this fantastic Russian wilderness photographer, Igor Shpilenok, who had taken a photo of a bear pushing a barrel (or in our interpretation a keg). So, we sent him an email and this guy so far removed from us on the other side of the planet liked the adaptation, gave us permission, and wished us well.
We branded the fridge this weekend with the logo. I've created my first GIF ever of Erin painting it on. We also got our T-shirts back from the silk screener.
